Coral Pink Bouquet - Final Pictures

Here is the final bridal bouquet for my client. I'm so glad to have this one done and I'm quite pleased on how it turned out. Big flowers are hard to arrange in a bridal bouquet. They are so bulky so finding enough of the smaller flowers and fillers to get a tight fit is always the challenge. I think the pressure of this one has to be in the bride's hands by Thursday made it even more stressful. I hope she likes it. I think this color is my new favorite. :)

Simple Flowers = A Simply Beautiful Bridal Bouquet

My client Stephanie is getting married on April 11th and I just finished her bridal bouquet. I know I have been kind of slow to post this week, but it's catch up mode for me. I hope to have photos of 70 corsages for you to see tomorrow. LOL.
Originally when Stephanie emailed me, she saw my work via Etsy and asked if I could create bridal bouquets for her entire bridal party. But she decided after much thought and discussion with her fiance, that maybe they wouldn't mean as much to her bridal attendants so we just decided to go with her bouquet and boutonniere for her groom. Her flowers were whitish ivory roses, simple white daisies with the yellow centers, stephanotis flowers with pearl centers. The bouquet was finished off with white satin ribbon with a blue organza ribbon to accent. It's absolutely BREATHTAKING!!! I feel like I just picked them out of a field of flowers. Something so simple as daisies and roses can look so beautiful! I just love how this one turned out.

I will have photos of her groom's boutonniere tomorrow. More blog posts to come soon, promise!!! You would think after buying all my lighting & studio equipment that I would actually use it, but I was anxious to get these photos to my client. ;)

Mrs. Pineapple's Recap of Her Wedding Day!

(Image courtesy of Mingwei Tay Photography)
Today was a fabulous day for me in terms of coverage. Mrs. Pineapple (www.weddingbee.com) returned with some photos from her wedding day, giving a recap of the getting ready to become Mr. Pineapple! There were some really great shots of the bouquets I did for her. The comments to the post were even more splendid as everyone thought the flowers were AWESOME! :) Click here to read the blog post by Mrs. Pineapple

Mrs. Pineapple has been one of my biggest fans and we still keep in touch via Facebook which is nice and I get to keep up with her growing wedding photography and wedding invitation business!

Bridal Bouquet Order of ivories, blues and purples - Part III

Last night I worked on the remaining flowers for Paulette's bouquet (3 peonies, 10 viburnum clusters, 30 hyacinth and 12 stephanotis). This morning I finished her bouquet. I still have left to accent paint the hydrangeas and hyacinth since Paulette wanted the hydrangeas to have that whitish green hue to the petals. I just love this bouquet, very romantic and elegant.
Here are some photos of her bouquet. I'm so glad to have this one done and will be moving on to my next bouquet, corsage/boutonniere and centerpiece order. Lots to do... so I better get back to it!

Black and White Bouquet - Anemones, Gardenias and Sweet Peas

I got an email early this week from a bride who saw my stuff and asked if I would be able to make a bridal bouquet for her NYC wedding on 2/21. Yes, 2/21! She isn't spending a lot of money given it doesn't make sense given the economy and she's having a vintage style wedding in black and white. She bought most of her items from Etsy artisans which I think is awesome. I suggested to her ivory anemones and sweet peas. Although her budget wouldn't allow what I had envisioned, we scaled it back and added gardenia flowers per her request with a few anemones thrown in. I love the striking look of this bouquet. Soft and subtle but the black anemone centers break up the ivory and white color palette. Plus with the black satin ribbon wrap I decided to add a little sparkle with the rhinestone buckle which I think will match since her hair fascinator has some rhinestone treatments in it as well.
