<div style="text-align: center;">
One of my long time clients asked me recently to create a large arrangement of lilacs for her. It's probably the largest arrangement I've made in quite some time and when we chose the vase, I didn't realize how big it was until it arrived. The arrangement has 12 stems of lilacs and was really tall. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
I always said I would make lilacs for myself to have in my home but still to this day it hasn't happened and it's been over 4 years. I'm always so grateful to my clients who continually come back to ask me to make them more floral arrangements for their home or to give as gifts </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
A client recently asked me if I could create a bouquet off of a photo of another clay artist's design. That's always hard because each clay artist has their own style and look. However she liked certain elements of that bouquet and I tried to incorporate them but also make it my own design.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjdnW3sDK2n99CduGdIkoD3C4PfbDsKhGP2X13eCzHZVRs8xDwLoZvvlOrKVjkcVGEEa1sv9a9HCQVGj1L0pEoiLkyHItHkwmPhc58kpABzUokCdZSeYMcGMMS2jNUVodstg_CX2LiQCns/s1600/abigail4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjdnW3sDK2n99CduGdIkoD3C4PfbDsKhGP2X13eCzHZVRs8xDwLoZvvlOrKVjkcVGEEa1sv9a9HCQVGj1L0pEoiLkyHItHkwmPhc58kpABzUokCdZSeYMcGMMS2jNUVodstg_CX2LiQCns/s320/abigail4.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
She wanted eucharist flowers but instead of the traditional green centers she wanted them to be pink. She also wanted ivories, pinks and greens with the vines and different types of greens. The bouquet had ranunculus, bouvardia, vines, hydrangea, tulips, roses and succulents as well. This bouquet I didn't use any plastic filler, it was all clay! The bride was very happy with the outcome.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
My cousin's daughter asked me a couple months ago if I could help her with a bridal shower she is throwing for her best friend. She wanted to do favors for a white and black themed shower. Crafty isn't her thing so we discussed ideas while I was visiting them back in April what would work. She really liked the idea of doing the flowers that would serve as decor but also gifts for the people attending the shower. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh-3fkZd4WD9sE1__5X5rioQ7rPyiLPkXWh4I-J7fYNlcTK0Wc1PzwlQBc_lAS7frXqHKgiYuZwyh6u8piA_YZ9rC_mYdTrI9usg2UzQ6rUhHeSyR-qtoYHZtAjSr95rIx537tp2XKc_8f/s1600/ashley-favors4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh-3fkZd4WD9sE1__5X5rioQ7rPyiLPkXWh4I-J7fYNlcTK0Wc1PzwlQBc_lAS7frXqHKgiYuZwyh6u8piA_YZ9rC_mYdTrI9usg2UzQ6rUhHeSyR-qtoYHZtAjSr95rIx537tp2XKc_8f/s320/ashley-favors4.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We agreed upon anemones, roses, gardenias and ranunculus. I did a black favor tag to look like chalkboard material and printed the text in white. They came out so lovely. This would make great bridal shower or even wedding favors. </div>

My client, Marina, contacted me again after she received her anemone pillow and hair flower. She was so impressed with the two items that she decided to move forward with her bridal bouquet and boutonniere. We included sweet peas and stephanotis blossoms with pearls and some green leaves to fill in the space between the anemones and give some added texture and dimension. We also did a matching boutonniere for her groom.</div>

My past bride and client, Georgia, contacted me a few weeks ago and asked if I could make a bouquet of lilacs for her home. I had done her wedding flowers and favors a few years ago, so I was happy to hear from her again. She had fell in love with lilacs I had done for two industry friends. <div style="text-align: center;">
My client via Etsy asked if I could make her a white and black anemone hair flower and she really liked my anemone ring pillow so she ordered both for her upcoming wedding. Anemone is one of those flowers that isn't always in season so have a clay version of the flower available is a great alternative. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6kQSfc7qDJhDsonP3d9FVx7uWjI7utpM0ZM8ZXjgHGGeDJCxsl68POvZ2LyiGbzQ-FGvprtMyDf6UHP7-KYDMp5C4pyD1H7Rm4iyONrGDro_hcxjXnI6ZZQfSpTUOlsc0vrxvrE9zPAL2/s1600/marina-anemone2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6kQSfc7qDJhDsonP3d9FVx7uWjI7utpM0ZM8ZXjgHGGeDJCxsl68POvZ2LyiGbzQ-FGvprtMyDf6UHP7-KYDMp5C4pyD1H7Rm4iyONrGDro_hcxjXnI6ZZQfSpTUOlsc0vrxvrE9zPAL2/s1600/marina-anemone2.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love the contrast between white and black, it's very sophisticated. I don't often get asked to do ring pillows but I do enjoy it when I get to make them. </div>

I'm very excited to announce that I'm offering some of my clay flower creations through Shoppe by Scoutmob. It's been a great start to the year with lots of new opportunities to grow and this is just one of them! I hope to continue adding new items to the shop in the future. <div style="text-align: center;">
My wonderful client, Joyce asked me to create this piece for her best friend who's birthday was earlier this month. She wanted tulips, daffodils and gerbera daisies. She pretty much left the colors up to me but wanted it to be Spring inspired with pretty colors. I added some lily of the valley as well to this arrangement. Her friend received it last week and was so thrilled with the gift. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This year has been a year of many blessings. Not only have I received several wedding flower orders, but lately, I've been getting a lot of requests for home decor pieces. A Facebook admirer on my business page asked me several months ago to do single stem flowers and then she asked if I could just make a home decor piece with all her favorite tropical flowers that have special meaning to her. This arrangement has gardenias, pikake, plumerias and hibiscus. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWBppqfzd9_xxtI864bDXkR33wxw-UKLAquloyr-L_hccjUM-gxTlwMph_810DK3Bn6pEsN2leHq43b_dMD0Ge23hF_Ahd7TyTMP0-dcPbF7Y93BBYO_PzZaGZNIwYrnDqd7vy-lUYKxS_/s1600/alma6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWBppqfzd9_xxtI864bDXkR33wxw-UKLAquloyr-L_hccjUM-gxTlwMph_810DK3Bn6pEsN2leHq43b_dMD0Ge23hF_Ahd7TyTMP0-dcPbF7Y93BBYO_PzZaGZNIwYrnDqd7vy-lUYKxS_/s1600/alma6.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
She also asked me to make some mini teapots of forget-me-nots for a friend as a going away present. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvB1kS6pSQWllBxp2qA7ek2ZFiqftdVHbnQL9_gO20oh1wqkvOUY07Rd4xYwekExRfO9H1WgMeTOriCV1xeNOH70Kr_xWRJS_DwtJqyZz6KED61BnXQt_uy8TU1h-sMTAeLoUV22-OvMhJ/s1600/almateapot3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvB1kS6pSQWllBxp2qA7ek2ZFiqftdVHbnQL9_gO20oh1wqkvOUY07Rd4xYwekExRfO9H1WgMeTOriCV1xeNOH70Kr_xWRJS_DwtJqyZz6KED61BnXQt_uy8TU1h-sMTAeLoUV22-OvMhJ/s1600/almateapot3.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's been a great joy to do more home decor pieces and single stem flowers, as well as a challenge, but I enjoy a good challenge!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
A past bride/client contacted me recently from Australia and she asked if I could make a couple peonies for her sister who is getting married next month. She loved the peonies I made for her wedding cake but she wanted the peonies to be in eggplant purple or aubergine with a bit of bling. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
I love how vibrant and vivid the color is on these peonies. The large one will sit on the top of the cake and the smaller one in between the layers </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
My client and past bride, Joyce asked me to create an arrangement that she could put on her altar with a gold statue of the Bhudda. Joyce always challenges me with her requests because she usually picks flowers I haven't yet done before. She wanted dendrobium orchids, cattleya orchids, miltoniopsis and bulbophyllum aruicomum, which are the national flower of Burma. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2dRr2CDIYASv-KXVdMoc95vR-d78GD1N5QdQdmQ02fE7mkSNYvRlsg63rYP9kpvtXkMXLX-LKxNEJbPsh5ouU-HEsyPoHt6RIWUwhGB7xr2V9qIq093iZmX1nD9XrT4LoO43HAWiaHFFj/s1600/joyceorchid2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2dRr2CDIYASv-KXVdMoc95vR-d78GD1N5QdQdmQ02fE7mkSNYvRlsg63rYP9kpvtXkMXLX-LKxNEJbPsh5ouU-HEsyPoHt6RIWUwhGB7xr2V9qIq093iZmX1nD9XrT4LoO43HAWiaHFFj/s1600/joyceorchid2.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After Joyce showed her mother the arrangement, she said that I didn't get the bulbophyllum orchids right. The tough part is when you have to depend on the internet and you can't find a detailed image of the flower you want to replicate. Nonetheless, Joyce is very happy with the arrangement and is excited to put it next to her Bhudda statue.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I love how one flower can make a beautiful statement on a cake. It's simple yet beautiful. Don't get me wrong, I love a full cascade of flowers on a cake too, but there is also beauty in just one big bloom.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
I had the opportunity to make these for a client this past week: gardenia, poppy and peonies. The peonies are actually a set of 3, painted with gold highlights per the client's request.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
This red poppy with green and yellow center was also made. Initially the client wanted a green and yellow center but she decided to have the stamens in black instead. So this one below is for sale on Etsy. You can find the listing <a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/220523359/ready-to-ship-large-clay-red-poppy-cake?ref=shop_home_active_1" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>

My past bride, Keva, contacted me recently to see if I could make 5 more favor boxes but with custom colored plumeria flowers and matching ribbons and tags. This was a fun one. I wasn't sure how they would all turn out but I'm pleasantly surprised how well they all work. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm always very thankful for repeat business from my past brides. This particular client/bride ordered from me years ago and she still asks me to create special arrangements for her and her loved ones. Her uncle recently passed away and she asked me to create a floral arrangement for her aunt in memory of him. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
She asked for fragrant roses, jasmine, gardenias and orchids. Mostly in white and ivory tones but with hints of color. I think it turned out really nice and hopefully it will bring her aunt some love, happiness and peace during this difficult time.</div>

While this post is a little late, I just had to share these photos. We live in Southern California and as you can imagine, unless you live in the high elevations, it's pretty rare to get snow. We live at an elevation of 1600 feet so the winter storm from Canada was forecasted for snow levels to drop to as low as 1000 feet. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I kept telling my husband that they are forecasting snow and he, being from the East Coast, told me there is no way. Well, at about midnight the of the 30th/31st, the rain turned to snow. Of course, we figured there's no way it would be there by morning. I awoke to the sound of kids' voices at 6:30 a.m. I looked outside and viola, it was WHITE as snow!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Since we are new to the area, everyone said that it's been 10 years since they had snow and that it stuck. I had experienced snow when I was little in the Bay Area and never again saw snow that stuck and I'm much older now. My son has not even experienced the snow so he was in for a treat. We weren't prepared by any means so it was hard to go out and have fun but we managed to throw some snowballs. Even Molly our little Boston Terrier loved the snow!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It was a nice way to bring in the New Year, but boy did it become an inconvenience. No one here is prepared for snow. It literally stuck around until January 4th! We're happy to be back in warmer temperatures and it's forecasted to get close to 80 this weekend!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Another project I just finished today was this beautiful custom arrangement for a lovely woman in France. She saw some arrangements I did for Susana of the <a href="http://www.citrusandorange.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">citrusandorange</a> blog years ago. She asked if I could do a similar arrangement but with slightly different flowers and colors. She wanted various shades of pink. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg612f-x50iGl5BV6QtsC9XAdBkwucHJo9YDxR23dq30-mL3MJuTNnMuTvQDlxJH0CxJU_iTNwPc56fAlIiI-MrAkv6E-ORFV_IwVp56qokUnz3XvNM16GfkzHamekvHQZ38IWAgFxxQVwL/s1600/sandrine5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg612f-x50iGl5BV6QtsC9XAdBkwucHJo9YDxR23dq30-mL3MJuTNnMuTvQDlxJH0CxJU_iTNwPc56fAlIiI-MrAkv6E-ORFV_IwVp56qokUnz3XvNM16GfkzHamekvHQZ38IWAgFxxQVwL/s1600/sandrine5.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sandrine asked for peonies, lilacs and sweet peas. The arrangement turned out beautifully. Thinking if I have some time, I would like to create some of these to sell in different colors of course. Originally I had done the peonies in the deep pink, but she wanted a bit more contrast so we ended up agreeing to add some yellow into the inner parts of the petals. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV8NL4fM_CtoWL0o1Rg1yI0QKbKg0dqniIE-f1WvBXbchjYYqtZvYrWBeWzCivNX7u9ozc2x38NqiK6w1FkH9zzTguLJEYjNENKFmask2I7mIwP6NPLKrqxsb6i3QjIcFWgbHuuClxp4Dx/s1600/sandrine7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV8NL4fM_CtoWL0o1Rg1yI0QKbKg0dqniIE-f1WvBXbchjYYqtZvYrWBeWzCivNX7u9ozc2x38NqiK6w1FkH9zzTguLJEYjNENKFmask2I7mIwP6NPLKrqxsb6i3QjIcFWgbHuuClxp4Dx/s1600/sandrine7.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've included both the original and the final arrangement photos. So thankful that my arrangements travel such distances and that people are still willing to order my flowers to decorate their homes with.</div>

This arrangement definitely gets you ready for Spring!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
The first week of January was spent working on this bouquet. My client is not getting married until later this year, but she is having a bridal photo shoot with her photographer and she wanted to be able to have it for that shoot. When we talked about her flowers she wanted hints of coral in her bouquet. We hadn't talked much via Facebook so there was a bit of confusion. So the first 2 photos are of the original bouquet.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVaDwX5EPXknnRGutgjP5u-XdEJJjw6tsVYaOdxuYfALb2TXKdkaQHLbxEB4M3tkiFyMkN2SERHILtss61OfhynS-NgOZCmJaySOy5gwLEmulBh0-rdSdw1PH_3gHVI-Km-kAP-agr1ueA/s1600/lien7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVaDwX5EPXknnRGutgjP5u-XdEJJjw6tsVYaOdxuYfALb2TXKdkaQHLbxEB4M3tkiFyMkN2SERHILtss61OfhynS-NgOZCmJaySOy5gwLEmulBh0-rdSdw1PH_3gHVI-Km-kAP-agr1ueA/s1600/lien7.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The subsequent photos are of the final bouquet design as she only wanted a touch of coral in the bouquet as it better matched her color palette. While both are very beautiful, the original one adds a pop of color while the final version is more of a muted color palette, but also quite nice.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUMAiPzuQfhYWkEInk_N4RLXUTamkHGyFMNYuoHmVive2BInmJK4vc4NWi_NaA032HF5MRDPFWbd2JLgTobWGZABB7Oo84bBC2w97bouVdfHeyDpn6GTZ7X4javXdX-jCQKzP-ErL3WaKK/s1600/lien1-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUMAiPzuQfhYWkEInk_N4RLXUTamkHGyFMNYuoHmVive2BInmJK4vc4NWi_NaA032HF5MRDPFWbd2JLgTobWGZABB7Oo84bBC2w97bouVdfHeyDpn6GTZ7X4javXdX-jCQKzP-ErL3WaKK/s1600/lien1-2.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The flowers that the client chose were, ivory roses, white ranunculus, green viburnum, coral hipericum berries, plumerias, yellow calla lilies, white and yellow tulips with an ivory ribbon wrap. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

New Projects<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Happy New Year! I hope your 2015 is off to a great start. I know every year for the past couple of years, I come out with great intentions of getting back to blogging and then alas, the blog posts are few and far between. As I reflect back on 2014, it was definitely a year of transitions and change. While it provided us with a new beginning in a new community, it also lead me to try to escape things I didn't want to face or do through spending countless hours on social media (unfortunately not blogging). So what has changed? I will write a separate post very soon, but for now, I wanted to share some projects that I've been working on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgk-rK3Fph6xQtsKiqPYPVyohQ_DtkqHUeXDbQu8vNKjSvhGFjuRKuyEs7l9Oq2QPTjaNnOp3pVDQ-_rm4i6lA4UASW_hnZt5MPCCCNNAA6ODupgt5k_QEKsMpqPlraQJpnd3rrsnNFU5z9/s1600/kyria-anemone2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgk-rK3Fph6xQtsKiqPYPVyohQ_DtkqHUeXDbQu8vNKjSvhGFjuRKuyEs7l9Oq2QPTjaNnOp3pVDQ-_rm4i6lA4UASW_hnZt5MPCCCNNAA6ODupgt5k_QEKsMpqPlraQJpnd3rrsnNFU5z9/s1600/kyria-anemone2.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The first of the year has been quite busy with orders and I'm so grateful for all the work that God has blessed me with. It's a great motivator after a very slow 4 months which is typical around the holidays.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The first image is of some wedding favors that a client requested. She decided that since they were having a lot of flowers on the tables that they didn't need the flower favor boxes. Instead she wanted coral pink boxes with white ribbon and a matching favor tag. Her colors are coral pink and grey/silver. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDeLYbUq851eNl1vvlAK2L3eHCXbE0RuQiHphoP6tyWE8pumYNL08CiWGdlIc1fLVkowMiFKPi29rlXmryTxvBZQBBWM3yTqtY4AMxRK5NQ4FO_UPM6FKlhE0oCWJmP_X7k6b5eupv5kYx/s1600/monty31-3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDeLYbUq851eNl1vvlAK2L3eHCXbE0RuQiHphoP6tyWE8pumYNL08CiWGdlIc1fLVkowMiFKPi29rlXmryTxvBZQBBWM3yTqtY4AMxRK5NQ4FO_UPM6FKlhE0oCWJmP_X7k6b5eupv5kYx/s1600/monty31-3.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The first week of 2015 was jam packed with lots of anemones. I had one client who wanted a large anemone cake topper (shown above). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfNnXxA1EXMTefvMM8PUnmLxmV9xcduhBTtfJyrDLDsrov69FWWlvM0rHbKZVbKAxeb15lJFOwVeUG8Y4eIcWFMBjLshV4XXdaj1PrYICeT2QkRgt_ieH0WZ0Kw0xmfr9eYzp__ekb7K27/s1600/monty31.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfNnXxA1EXMTefvMM8PUnmLxmV9xcduhBTtfJyrDLDsrov69FWWlvM0rHbKZVbKAxeb15lJFOwVeUG8Y4eIcWFMBjLshV4XXdaj1PrYICeT2QkRgt_ieH0WZ0Kw0xmfr9eYzp__ekb7K27/s1600/monty31.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Another client who is an event planner not too far from where we live and she is doing a table design at a big event conference called BASH. She asked me to make anemones because they aren't in season. So she ordered 18 white and black anemones. I can't wait to see her table design for the event and hope she wins the competition</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thank you for stopping by, and I'll have a few more posts to put up after this. </div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7l5aAC_JPClpH6x3M8j4xeBuVbjbRd3o47q4j11xY-DOAroqcxj2-zNUtZYfciXOooDph7sRgGHsEqVLMBe6-FwS8M22-qPuhAw5ecZRiQfyHCmYlVNLzsMdIx6Bej64L7yr4MaC0lV0E/s1600/vanessa-babypenguin4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7l5aAC_JPClpH6x3M8j4xeBuVbjbRd3o47q4j11xY-DOAroqcxj2-zNUtZYfciXOooDph7sRgGHsEqVLMBe6-FwS8M22-qPuhAw5ecZRiQfyHCmYlVNLzsMdIx6Bej64L7yr4MaC0lV0E/s1600/vanessa-babypenguin4.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
One of my long time cake artist client in Australia contacted me a couple of months ago to see if I could create a special keepsake baby shower cake topper. Her son and daughter-in-law are expecting their first baby boy and her first grandson. Vanessa is the first to ask me to do baby shower cake toppers (if you recall the baby in the baseball mitt and the blue baby bears, building blocks and baby blanket?). Anyway, this time it was near and dear to her heart. Her daughter-in-law loves penguins and her husband is a BIG baseball fan and his favorite player is Derek Jeter of the NY Yankees. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So, she asked me to combine the two. She asked for a winter theme as she is doing a topsy turvy style cake with penguins and baseball elements on the different layers. She wanted the penguin on a sled with elements of baseball so I went with a baseball mitt, NY Yankees hat, baseball and bat. Her son and his wife have a nickname for their baby boy to be, "Mo", so I made a NY Yankees style pennant with his nickname on it. Needless to say, Vanessa LOVED it! I cannot wait to see it on the finished cake!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Last week, one of my past brides who has become a friend, asked me if I could make her some newborn headbands for her baby girl who made her debut into this world on Friday. She is planning a newborn shoot in a few weeks and asked if I could create something for her. I was a little reluctant but agreed. I have never made newborn headbands so I was a bit nervous, but I like a good challenge. She pretty much left it up to my creative decisions. </div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjw534EW1rNdmTExmPy6ZhicDQBtAxgBcmDLkIyZpF1qBzJ1DrLJNzwbCxB64LtsKz0bhaQ6JHpvg00eIbfmcNiGcSPVrNdMIdBoslkDdsgjeOpZ_mWvxcBfkkmHu2TN-ka220VmvnU8kxh/s1600/gardenia-crystal-baby2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjw534EW1rNdmTExmPy6ZhicDQBtAxgBcmDLkIyZpF1qBzJ1DrLJNzwbCxB64LtsKz0bhaQ6JHpvg00eIbfmcNiGcSPVrNdMIdBoslkDdsgjeOpZ_mWvxcBfkkmHu2TN-ka220VmvnU8kxh/s1600/gardenia-crystal-baby2.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First I had to hunt for the headbands. Thankfully yesterday I found them and started working away. I came up with 3 cute designs. One with gardenias, handwired crystals and velvet leaves. Granted, these are definitely more for photo shoots and probably wouldn't be something a baby would wear on a regular basis. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
The 2nd design is a pink ranuculus with green velvet leaves.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
The 3rd design is a peach/pink peony with green velvet leaves on a chocolate brown lace band.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I got so much interest from my friends on Facebook that I'm going to look into offering these on Etsy soon.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
More and more of my clients have been so enamored with the idea of having clay versions of French macarons. They want to decorate their home with them. Obviously the real ones are just too delicious to not eat and of course they wouldn't last long as a home decor piece. So, why not have them made out of clay? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

They would also make wonderful photo shoot props for wedding professionals who want to use them whenever they need them. Professionals who offer favor boxes would love these as a way to showcase their product with a favor content prop!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
My client Melissa, asked me to make several arrangements. The first set was of a lily of the valley arrangement in a silver mint julep cup and French Macarons. In addition to that order she wanted an arrangement of white peonies and bluish purple muscari. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBwLhTSifcc9s6ZGSSsvfmgZYzXr3BLLjfFkqiL8tHM0-mWNLHDNQrO0m9YyyI1fajeHMm9AkBsH1gJuRE4arxpPq_CplSHH9cBnZbXxsaBDN2r_3ENs7LAF9V9dnGXIJSod48vx49bzKZ/s1600/melissa-lov9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBwLhTSifcc9s6ZGSSsvfmgZYzXr3BLLjfFkqiL8tHM0-mWNLHDNQrO0m9YyyI1fajeHMm9AkBsH1gJuRE4arxpPq_CplSHH9cBnZbXxsaBDN2r_3ENs7LAF9V9dnGXIJSod48vx49bzKZ/s1600/melissa-lov9.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
She wanted the macarons to be embellished with sparkles and iridescent paints in Tiffany blue, pink and purple.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXkQClwfyKtlFvh5W3IGAiXCHEJCrv3tvey15JMd6WxKHoYM1ZQ5BN_Kp4OTn5SYy16FnBaiRMVW5oW8qdy7lLg2P5om0xU9ss2KZoRjSjNnBIkEOkNvpe_kY6mynvYkNLdzUJ1_nQUixy/s1600/melissa-muscari1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXkQClwfyKtlFvh5W3IGAiXCHEJCrv3tvey15JMd6WxKHoYM1ZQ5BN_Kp4OTn5SYy16FnBaiRMVW5oW8qdy7lLg2P5om0xU9ss2KZoRjSjNnBIkEOkNvpe_kY6mynvYkNLdzUJ1_nQUixy/s1600/melissa-muscari1.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This was how the peony and muscari arrangement turned out. We decided to use a birchwood style vase for this beautiful home decor piece.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
After she saw the first lily of the valley arrangement, she decided to order 2 more to give as gifts. Each lily of the valley arrangement has 300 blossoms and 45 buds.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Truly blessed to have clients who cherish my work and continue to come back and ask me to create new things for their homes or to give as gifts. </div>
