Jack & Jill Party and Wedding Thank you Notes

My lovely bride Kara is another one of my favorites. Always so appreciative and on top of it all. Her wedding is fast approaching and she asked if I could create thank you cards for her Jack & Jill party (with her pineapple theme) and her wedding (with her cymbidium orchid theme). So we took the designs from the original invitation designs and applied it to her thank you cards. Here are how the designs turned out.
I love it when brides have the budget to order multiple things to create a consistent look and feel for their wedding. She's getting married at this great outdoor venue close to where they live. She's doing her favors and table cards and hair flowers with me as well. We're doing 3 types of favors, orange hibiscus, orange cymbidium orchids and little wooden turtles with mini hibiscus flowers. All in her colors of peacock teal and orange! Even though she's getting married on the East Coast, she's having a lot of Hawaiian influences with her favors, table cards names, etc. Just so happens they'll be honeymooning in Maui!

Anyway, more samples to share as her wedding gets closer. I definitely love my sweet, fun and appreciative clients. They truly do ROCK! :)

Peacock Blue and Orange Invitations

A potential client called me to ask me about my wedding invitations and favors. She liked the Mae & Jeremy wedding invitations, but her colors are a delphinium blue and orange. Kara sent me pics of her bridesmaid dress and they were almost a royal blue color which I didn't have something close to what she was looking for. She was drawn to this deep peacock teal blue and I think this is one of my new favorite color combinations. It's punchy and bold, but elegant.
I'm interested to see if she likes the color combination and goes ahead with the invitation order. She's also considering favor boxes to serve as the favor and the place cards for her guests. That's also a great way to save money, combining the favor tag and the place card/seating card all into one!

Teri & Frank - Hilton Waikoloa Village
This morning I finished Teri & Frank's favors for their upcoming wedding at the Hilton Waikoloa Village & Resort. Teri came to DK Designs by way of the wonderful wedding atelier staff at the Hilton. Teri wanted save-the-dates, invitations and favors. This is a style sheet of all the components (or most of them anyway) to give you an idea of what we did for her wedding. Her colors were a turquoise and hot pink. So we went with a hibiscus design since she is getting married after all in Hawaii. We did some scroll work as well whcih worked out nicely.

For Teri's favors, she was so torn on what flower to do. I told her you can do different flowers for the male and female guests as I've had several clients ask for one particular flower for the female guests and maybe a pineapple or a turtle for the male guests. I think these days, anything goes, as long as it's done well! :) So since her wedding was quite small, we went for flowers in whites and pinks (gardenia, cymbidium orchid, hibiscus, plumeria) and for the guys a mixture of pineapples and wooden turtle with mini plumerias and leaves). The ribbons are a light teal organza and rasberry pink silk ribbon and we tied her wedding invitation motif back in with her favor tags to finish them off. So you can see that carrying the theme through from your save-the-dates all the way to your favors truly makes the event unique and all your own. I've had so many clients tell me how much their guests were excited when they received the invitation and to see all the other pieces with the same motif really helped make the event that much more special.

Well, back to my other orders... I hope you like what you see..
