Pink and Green Bridal Bouquet and Boutonniere

I finally finished this stunning bridal bouquet and matching boutonniere. My client lives in Australia. She wanted a pink and green bouquet. Her bouquet is 14" in diameter and contains peonies, David Austin roses, calla lilies, hydrangea, viburnum, hyacinth, parrot tulips and ranunculus. Even though the bride wanted all pink and green, I thought the callas would be better in white with a green edge since the bouquet is predominantly shades of pink. I think it breaks it up a little and makes everything come together nicely. This order is traveling all the way to Australia!Lots of exciting stuff on the horizon, but I cannot share at the moment. Believe me, as soon as I can I will let you know! For now, I have to get back to my wedding orders.

Fall Inspired Bouquet Order for a Halloween Wedding

Fall is in the air. After a week of record temps, we finally have cold, wet weather. During all my training classes this past week I had to finish an order for my 10/31 bride. Stephanie found me through some chat boards on clay flowers and after shopping around some, she finally decided to go with my services. She is getting married on Halloween so she really wanted pumpkins in her bouquet. I'm not much of an orange flower kind of person, but everyone says that my orange hues really pop. I think what really made this order was the pumpkins and hipericum berries as they really made the bouquet come to life!
This one was a lot of work, but I'm happy with the results and so is the bride. As soon as she got the photos I sent she was in tears... Happy ones of course! She was so thrilled with how it all turned out.Best wishes to Stephanie and Matt on their wedding day!

I'm busy catching up on little orders and hope to have more to share later next week!

Fall Wedding Bouquet - Purples and Browns

Well, this isn't what you'd call a traditional fall bouquet, because I often think of oranges, yellows and browns. This bouquet focuses on plums, browns, greens and white. Wendy asked if I could create a bouquet for her using spotted orchids, hipericum berries, English roses and monkey tail fern curls. The final piece actually took 3 tries to get it right.
Spotted orchids have more of a magenta hue to the mouth and spots. However, Wendy asked if I could deepen the color to be more plum. So we worked together to see how we could continue to deepen the color. Although she wanted somewhat of a white bouquet, she also wanted the deep hues of fall to include the dark browns and plum colors. It's a very striking bouquet. Below is the groom's matching boutonniere with some purple wiring accents.I have 24 more orchids to paint that she intends to use for her manzanita branches for her centerpieces that the florist will be attaching. Hope Wendy will share photos of her wedding day as I would love to see how that looks! Best wishes to Wendy and her fiance on their wedding day!
