Custom Cake Flower Topper - Pink Peonies and Antique Hydrangeas

Is it me or does May seem to drag on? I guess in a way it's good I have a few days left as I have several orders to complete and ship by June 1st!I just completed 75 flower clusters (total time to make them was 6 hours) for another client for her sister's wedding (more on that later). I also have several custom cake topper/flower orders to contend with. Here's one I wanted to share with you today as I just finished it not too long ago.
This particular client wanted a freestanding cake topper to put on top of her tiered cake. She requested light pink peonies that had more of a closed or bud like center and antique green and pink hydrangeas.

Boutonnieres for my Destination Jamaica Bride

All geared up to finish my destination Jamaica bride's order today. Talk about a lot of work, 2 bouquets, 6 centerpieces, 4 corsages, 7 boutonnieres, 2 hair flowers, 5 cake flowers and 24 place setting flowers. Last night I just finished painting all the orchids and had enough energy to put together the boutonnieres. Here are some of the images I shot last night of those.More pictures to follow once I finish the corsages. :) Lots to do today... I have to finish this order and then get cracking on all the flowers I need to make for next week's "Garden Party" event with my dear friend and colleague Debbie Friedrich of Debbie Friedrich Photography and zenatona!

Clay Flowers for a Destination Wedding in Jamaica

To date, I have had to clients who had or are getting married in Jamaica. My current client, Crystal asked me to create her bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, hair flowers, cake flowers, place setting flowers and her centerpieces. I've managed to finish the bridal bouquets and centerpieces today and wanted to share them with you.Crystal wanted light green cymbidium orchids and fuchsia pink roses with tuberose buds. She had initially sent me my bridal bouquet as an example of what she would like. So I guess in a way this bouquet meant something to me. I almost wish I could redo my bouquets because I'm SO much better now than I was in 2005! LOL.I love the centerpieces especially. So simple yet so tropical and elegant.

Congratulations and Best Wishes Crystal!
