Lily of the Valley, Rose and Hydrangeas

Another sweet client contacted me after she saw my Victoria Magazine article. Her sister is a big fan of my work and wanted several pieces to create her own floral arrangements at home. Her sister chose lily of the valley stems, a pinkish cream rose and 6 single blossoms of light blue hydrangeas.
With all the rain we got this weekend, this was a bright spot in my day on Friday.

Spring Inspired Bouquet

A bride via Etsy asked me to create a bridal bouquet for her. Being from the South she wanted some Southern flowers to be incorporated. Alexis' dress is champagne in color and wanted some hints of champagne. While her bouquet is predominantly white, there are pops of color with the vibrant pink centers of the stargazer lilies and magnolias. I incorporated champagne colored ranunculus since she wasn't too fond of roses.
She said she also loves periwinkle and light blue so we did periwinkle blue hydrangeas. Towards the end she mentioned they also have lavender and teal in their wedding colors so I decided to add the lavender stock flowers as well. I love how this bouquet turned out. Pretty pastels and whites with pops of vibrant colors.
Alexis loved her bouquet so much that she decided yesterday to add on 3 magnolia corsages for the mothers and grandmother. So very grateful and blessed to have wonderful clients like Alexis!

More Flower Samples - Peony, Poppy and Lily of the Valley

I've been busy trying to get the remaining orders & samples out the door before I leave on my trip tomorrow. The last of the samples to ship out are to my July 11th bride. She wanted peonies, lily of the valley and now she's contemplating spray roses and poppies. She was inspired by a bouquet she saw in a recent Martha Stewart Weddings magazine.

I've tried to steer clear of making lily of the valley, not because I don't know how to make them, but because they are so time-consuming to make. Alas... as a floral designer I have to give what the client has her heart set on having in her bouquet. Because they are just individual flowers, I decided to just put it on my faux cake and take some shots so that I have it on file to color match when I go and do her order.

It's a very spring like bouquet of flowers and the lily of the valley adds just that little delicate touch!
