Introducing The Flirty Girl's Crafter's Throwdown! Enter Your Chance to Win...

Back in December, Stacie Tamaki, my dear friend, aka - The Flirty Girl, took a picture of a flower on a walk she had been on and thought of me. Somehow during our blog commentary back and forth we thought of a "Crafter's Throwdown" kind of like Bobby Flay's Throwdown on the Food Network. Obviously it has nothing to do with food (except that our prize whether her creation or mine gets the most votes is a Kara's or Sprinkles Cupcake! LOL.
People say I'm crazy to do flowers out of clay, but I think Stacie is more insane than me to create things out of hundreds and thousands of beads. She always amazes me with what she can create with tiny glass beads. I think her work is ABSOLUTELY amazing and I would vote for her version over mine. LOL... :)

This is the photo that inspired the challenge. Isn't it beautiful, almost reminds me of a cherry blossom.
These are the detail shots both Stacie and I took of my clay and Stacie's beaded version of the flower.

Anyway, to vote and read more about the Crafter's Throwdown Challenge, click here. Cast your vote on whether you like her recreation in beads or my recreation in clay and you could win a collaborative piece that Stacie and I worked on together. You can either comment on her blog post to enter or click here to send an email with your vote/entry.
It's a beautiful fuchsia pink peony and green dendrobium orchid arrangement with Stacie's gorgeous beaded dragonflies! Stacie recently refocused her TheFlirtyBride.com site to specialize in custom beaded cake toppers. Part of her offering will include my clay flowers with her beaded art. So you can have the best of both worlds!
