I received an order today from an Etsy buyer. I notified her that her order for her gardenia hair flowers would ship on Monday. She emailed me back and told me that she thought her sister bought hair flowers from me and that she's a big Etsian. She gave me her blog and I recalled seeing Jill's original blog post and she had a picture of her and her husband on their wedding day with my hair flowers. Ellen said they are professional photographers and their photos were gorgeous (Jill and her husband's company is based out of Arizona - McNamara Media). I tend to make elaborate bouquets and centerpieces. However, I'm working on some arrangements for the set of an Internet show and I've been dying to use these sea urchin vases. I'm struggling still to decide what I want to put in them but I may just leave it like this. A single white peony in the sea urchin vase. SIMPLY STUNNING!
Here is the final bridal bouquet for my client. I'm so glad to have this one done and I'm quite pleased on how it turned out. Big flowers are hard to arrange in a bridal bouquet. They are so bulky so finding enough of the smaller flowers and fillers to get a tight fit is always the challenge. I think the pressure of this one has to be in the bride's hands by Thursday made it even more stressful. I hope she likes it. I think this color is my new favorite. :)
I posted some pictures a couple of days ago of some coral pink peonies and ranunculus. Well, this is the next stage of the bouquet making process. I struggled with this one last night so I had to put it down and will tackle it again today. It's almost done, just a few more fillers and to add the ribbons to the stems.
I just love the colors and the flowers. It screams.. SPRING!!! :) Coral pink peonies in varying shades, ranunculus in coral pink and peach tones, hyacinth in peach with pink edged petals, tuberose buds with a peach hue, and tulips. This particular bride needs her bouquet next week for a photo shoot. Her wedding isn't until later, but she needed it ASAP so I hope she'll be happy with the finished result. More pictures will be posted when I finish the bouquet with the remaining fillers and ribbon.
Back in February, I made a bouquet of Victorian roses, blush champagne pink anemones and sweet peas. I didn't really care for the shape of the bouquet and finally decided that I wanted to create a vase arrangement out of it. Because I have to provide some pieces for the set of an Internet show, I decided to tackle that project this morning. I tried different vases, but this is the one I finally chose which I think is absolutely perfect for the flowers. Vintage elegance perhaps? I debated on what fillers to use, but I chose the ones in the arrangement because the leaves have a hint of pinkish peach in them. After the taping, it might just become a piece I sell on Etsy!
So... Bella sent me an email after she saw the place cards with the crystals and decided that the price difference between the two wasn't significant enough to do without them for the other guests. Late nights, misreading of emails. Happens to me all the time. LOL. So this morning I woke up and read her email and she asked if it was too late to put the crystals on. The box is ready to ship but I cut it open and put the crystals on and boxed it right back upI really think the crystals add the finishing touch to the place card.
Too cute! All in a day's work and it's not even 9 a.m.!
